Ambasada Neretva
A photography, art, environmentalist, cultural and overall hedonistIC collaborative project summarised in a book
I am a honorary Consule  of Ambasada Neretva, a cultural collective, a non-formal-organisation, with headquarters in Džajići, near Konjic in Bosnia-Herzegovina, with consules and attachés spread around the globe, from Sarajevo to Hawaii, Kuwait, Italy, Brazil, France, Netherlands; a team of Neretva river enthusiasts, artists and thinkers from all over the world, mingling on it's shores since 1998. Decades of activity are being published in a book that in some way tells a story of generations, people, arts, humanity and necessity of preservation of the upper course of the river Neretva and it's current habitat, against all dams, pollution and other destructive human activities. The aim is local, but with the global vision, so Ambasada is taking regularly part of international river summits and participating in campaigns, such as Blue Heart of Europe.
The book starts with our fathers story, who rafted the upper course of Neretva river since mid 70s and transimitted the love for outdoors and Neretva to us. When we started to raft it's wild rapids and sleep under the stars, surrounded by the canyon mountains, we found that it all could end very soon. The entire area was endangered by the construction of a series of dams. So, the book is also about our fight against dams, pollution and mass tourism which are threatening this fragile ambient, one of the last big European wild river environments. Cultural activities, events and continuous presence at the beach where Rakitnica mouth Neretva was are our weapons of choice.

At the end, it is all about the next generations and leaving the planet to them as it is as possible
